It's been...

one week since we have only been wearing panties during the day and we still have an accident here or there. Yesterday we went over to a friends for a play date and it was out first outing with no diapers, I will admit I was a little worried, cuz she would have to use a big potty and I am so proud of her, she went all day with no accidents. So I am going to say that we are finally potty trained. So happy to have one out of diapers, she still has to wear them at night but I am ok with that, we will work on that later on. I have to laugh at her this morning she tried to use the potty but nothing but she still came to me and asked for chocolate, I explained no pee, no chocolate, well it wasn't sinking in so I walked her to her potty pointed and again said no pee no chocolate. Well she is back on the chair trying really hard to get chocolate.

Potty Training Abi

We are in full potty training mood, we have tried a few times before but gave after the second day cuz Abi just refused to go would scream no and one thing I have read, DON'T PUSH IT so I wouldn't.  On Friday we put on some panties and decided to try again. She had a couple of accidents in the morning but she noticed right away and would let me know and would finish in the potty, so that was good, and I would give her a prize anyway (which this time around was some books that I got at a rummage sale) In the afternoon she  kept her panties dry so yay was so excited for her. Over the weekend we had more accidents so I thought we were not ready, but we pushed on and Monday we had a good day went more in the potty chair and none in her panties yay. We still put her pull ups on at nap time cuz that is when she does her bm. Yesterday and today have been going ever two hours and no accidents. She did have one accident yesterday but she was on her way by her self to the potty and didn't make it on time. I never told her so to go so that was promising. She felt bad, but I kept telling her but you were going on your own. Tomorrow we are going to try and go every 2 1/2 hours. I try not to get to excited, but I sure hope we are on the right path and soon we will be potty trained. Look at this beautiful girl. I am lucky.

8 Month Post

Ok so I know that I am a little behind, ok a lot behind like 18 days but never realized I missed it., but the pictures of before in the pool are also on his 8 month day. So not much has changed, no teeth yet, but he continues to chew on everything. He is not crawling yet but his reach is getting longer and at times he manged to get what he wants by scooting or twisting and turning while sitting. Abi continues to yell at Gus when he gets to close to a toy that she doesn't think he needs and then there are times where she is so sweet to him, she is into her babies and takes care of them. The other day she was bringing his bottle to him and she put her finger on the end of the nipple like she sees me do all the time and shack it, was really cute to see how much she watches what I do with him when I don't notice it. Life is busy with my two amazing hyper wonderful children.

Fun in the Pool

Abi & Gus LOVE the pool, Gus will be in the boat (as Abi calls it) and will splash and splash and his little legs just kick and he moves around the pool. We upgraded to this kind of pool since the last two years our pool has ended up with a crack in it due to lack of storage we end up keeping it outside under the lemon tree. With this pool we can also get in. Abi is a little scared cuz the first time in it she tried to sit down. Lesson learned. As of yesterday she did finally take her feet off the bottom and float some on her monkey. But enough said enjoy the pool pics.

Summer has begun

Summer is here so no school for Abi so what to do with an active 3 year old when it is to hot to go outside plus you have a baby in the house. I set up the table cloth that I got for painting on the floor and let her paint while Gus was down for a nap. The first is my favorite, she looks so sweet and innocent hard to believe that later this day we will have melt down after melt down. He thing lately is "like baby" meaning she wants to be carried like baby, talks like baby what baby does Abi wants to do. Then there are times she is helpful and will run in his room when he cries, give him his pacifier and wants to feed him, which when I do it is not pretty so I work hard on distracting her when it is time to feed Gus, cuz he ends up wearing more then he ate.

Reading to Baby Gus

Love this one she is feeding Snow White
Like I say nothing escapes the mouth of Gus, Abi put the bear on stroller to walk with us.
